"Who are they?" asked my kid, Tan.

I was about to ask him to wait, but I spotted a spark of curiosity in his eyes. My focus subsequently averted to a photograph on his hands. The image originated from my forgotten, small notebook that was left opened next to my kid. Hell, I didn't even remember that I had that book, let alone keeping it in my bag.

The photograph displayed two familiar figures standing next to each other. It's a bit blurred, but I could see them smiling at the camera lens.

Buried memories and emotions gradually emerged both in my mind and my heart. Joy. Sorrow. Disappointment. Sincerity. Love.

"Are they your friends?" Tan shot another question, demanding my reply.

I gestured my kid to come closer, then embraced him from behind. We stared at the same smiles together.

"This is Uncle Max, while the other one is Uncle Tul," I said while pointing at the figures on the photograph. "They are two of the most treasured people in my life."

"Ouchh," I cried trying to balance. I looked up at him with soft eyes, flushed cheeks. He looked into my eyes with his knitted ones. His hair lying over his sweaty forehead. I never presumed to glimpse him this close. His photographs conveyed his good looks but his dominating aura was hard to handle. I was feeling scared to even breathe in his arms. Bringing his fingers to my face he gently pushed hair strands behind my ear. I lowered my eyes feeling extremely shy. "Sambhal kar chaliye zara, har waqt bahein nahi hongi hamari sambhalne ko," he said in a scratchy tone. There was a hint of taunt present. I knitted my brows to his words and quickly matched his aura. "Hume chahiye bhi nahi," I said glaring at him. He shot his eyebrows a little and I pushed him to leave angrily. Turning around I stepped up on another dumbbell and slipped over it again. I threw my hands in the air for support and once again found him snaking my waist and pulling my back closer to his chest. "Are you sure," he asked over my ears. I angrily looked back at him, found him smirking. "Baahon mein girte girte, mohabbat me mat giriyega hamare," he whispered looking into my eyes. "Kabhi nahi," I replied and left. I royally ignored his taunt only to end up marrying him. Day by day my feelings for him grew stronger though finding happiness was becoming a risky game. But I was heartbroken upon discovering that he only married me out of pity and loved someone else who he was to marry. Not having parents from young age now made me helpless. It felt good to leave home where my family cared for me all these years, after my parents. I did not want to go back and be a burden again. But living this life with him didn't seem fruitful either. This is love story of Tejas Pratap Rathore and Sunaina Maan Singh. Storyline takes place in the early years of 21st century (2001). A beloved saga tying them together in love and commitment whilst they dwell over misunderstandings and growing feelings.

When Thanapon Aiemkumchai ran away from home at the age of eighteen, he was briefly taken care of by a handsome guy. The handsome guy was named Sailub Hemmawich, only a year older than him, aloof and taciturn, mature and stable, the only flaw being a bit easy to deceive. Thanapon said his parents had died early, his family had fallen on hard times, and his siblings were harsh, and Sailub believed it all. At first, he was impatient with Thanapon, but later, he would spend hours waiting in line with him on winter nights to buy candied chestnuts and accompany him to set off fireworks by the sea in the late night. Thanapon unilaterally declared that he had found true love, and when his siblings came to take him home, he stubbornly refused to break up. "I'll elope with him tomorrow! Beating me won't work!" Thanapon declared firmly. But as expected, the unreliable Sailub disappeared, leaving Thanapon determined but alone. Actions speak louder than words about who is easy to deceive. In the midnight reverie, Thanapon often thought of this person with hatred, wishing for nothing but misfortune and poverty to befall him. But eight years later, this person not only did not fall into ruin, but also became a rising star in the art world, appearing once again before him. They met at a charity gala. They politely and distantly extended their hands, as if meeting for the first time, exchanging casual pleasantries. But the hands held together were burning hot, and their hearts beat restlessly. Ramayana. An Indian epic that has lived through the centuries and has only grown even more in the process. An epic that shows ideal characters, many of whom we worship, and other characters from whom we learn what we shouldn't be at any cost. But one thing that has been a constant for many centuries now is the examples we give, referring to the epic. One of the most popular ones being "Be a brother like Rama." Not only is the Ramayana an enchanting tale of love and devotion, but it's also an equally magical example of brotherhood and affection. Brothers who stood with each other through thick and thin. Brothers who would readily sacrifice their life for the other. Brothers who would love the other, and support him when nobody else did. This book brings to you the Ramayana, but this time, the limelight is on the inseparable brothers. *** Disclaimer: Please do not read this book if you do not like humanization of deities. However, I can assure you that ALL relationships in this book are shown the way they're meant to be - no non-canon shipping. I can also assure you, that since I myself am a devotee of Shri Rama, that you will never have me intentionally writing anything against him, his real nature - the same goes for the others - Sita, Lakshmana, Urmila, Bharata, Mandavi, Shatrughna, Shrutakeerti, Dasharatha, the mothers... All of them will always get their due respect in this book. Secondly, I've followed the Valmiki Ramayana throughout. Some incidents may be revelations, as quite a few things are contrary to popular perception and other versions. Thank you! Fantastic cover designed by @Mochis4lifeq52627 <3
