Nyla, an anti-social and submissive 12 year old from New York City during a routine shopping trip stumbles upon a mysterious maze of hallways with seemingly no way out. She has no idea how they got there or where this place is but what she does know is this place is nothing like the world she's familiar with. Surviving in this realm may be difficult and it doesn't help that Nyla has been told to accept the backrooms as their new home.
