Norway has to go to a meeting with Denmark, but doesn't want to leave Iceland at home by himself. So, he convinces Sweden to watch him for a few days. Hetalia by Hidekaz Himaruya. This is the real story of King Ragnar Lothbrok of Denmark as recounted by the ancient Danish historians Sven Aggeson and Saxo Grammaticus in Book Nine of Saxo's series. There are other conflicting accounts of Ragnar Lothbrok and his sons and I have attempted to include those viewpoints as well when they can be worked into Saxo's historical timeline, but this Book 1 of my 'The Varangian' series will be attempting to show how Saxo blended fiction and true history in his Nine Books.

Then after that three books of the Families over 1300 to 1700 and on into the last three of the nine covering the pre and current contemporary periods up to our times. There may be a deeper 'prequel' coverage as well of Vikings in the Baltic and in the Mediterranean periods before the rise of Rome. This last part would bring the total of all in the series to twelve books. Around 150-350 pages each.
