Addilyn saw the door move up and down like a chest breathing. It moved faster and faster. Then it abruptly stopped. She got out of her bed and walked slowly towards it. There was silence. Then the door burst open on its own and a dark figure rolled in with the same glowing eyes from her nightmares.

Addilyn Cunningham just moved from her old, peaceful home in Chicago to New York with her financially struggling mother, Nora. Addilyn, wanting to help her mother, played a game with other kids who were unaware about the game where the rewards were a fortune anyone could wish for. But what happens when one of them breaks the rules of the game? The man in the fields will want what's his in the end. The souls of each other of the players. Will Addilyn survive this with her friends and her mom? Was it all worth it in the end?
