Amanda Strifield is 15 years old and has been tortured by her dad Chet and step-mom Shannon since she was 9. Untill one morning she finally decides to run away durning a family trip to Walmart. 

    Along the way she meets a peculiar boy who shows her a beautiful and magical place he calls Gloria Manor. And there Amanda meets Iris, a tough but smart 16 year-old girl from the south who is also head doctor at Gloria.

    Amanda has a blast at Gloria, learning about the great culture and history from none- other than Gloria Gaile herself. Gloria see's potential in Amanda in ways she never thought possible.
