Just like the name Aiden, the world can be deceiving.
Aiden was wise beyond her 20 years... or so her mother told her. Her sister used to say she was too smart for her own good.
Aiden was a waitress at Java Jones and she loved her job. She could do better and make more money, but she didn't need to. She only had herself to take care of after the car accident that took her only family.
On the day of her friend's birthday, strange things start happening that makes Aiden question her sanity. Good thing the birthday girl, Clary Fray, doesn't leave her hanging in that regard.
The life she used to know was just a cover up story and the four people she meets claim they can help her learn her new reality.
Turns out that Pandemonium, the place where it all came crashing down, lives up to its name.
