It's been a long time since I came back here. Sheepish middle school memories abound. I should be kinder to my younger self, who only ever wanted to love somebody without submitting herself to the awful breaking-open of vulnerability, but god, it's just so embarrassing.

High school is supposed to be the greatest years of our lives but so far for me it's been the worst my sophomore year I had only 2 best friends one embarrassed me in front of the whole school saying how much of a loser I was. My twin brother ignores me even he thinks I'm a loser and his best friend who I have been in love with for years and who was one person I always knew I could count on stops speaking to me after I declare my love for him and gets with the school bully who's one of the people who make my life hell, after all that I left and moved in with my aunt states away. when my senior year comes around I decide to face my fears and go back to my old high school and show them the new and improved me.Complete

Then something happened during Freshman year that made him resent her and start becoming her bully. Now as Seniors, this will be their last year of ever having to see each other and Arlan is about to inherit his parents money that he is to receive when he not only turned eighteen. His brother came back home to make sure he is doing everything he is supposed to. There's just one problem that could ruin him being set for life. He made a bet with his best friend that he couldn't make Korinna to ever trust or like him ever again enough to sleep with her. Now he has to make sure he wins and that his brother doesn't find out. Korinna is curvy is gonna turn eighteen a couple of months before graduation and she can't wait because that way she can go away to college and leave behind her life here. Everyone knows that her father died when she was little and was now living with her alcoholic step mom that hates her guts and his blowing all the money that Korinna was supposed to be getting but hasn't. After an incident that happened years before, she has shut down and tries to keep to herself as she is bullied constantly. What happens when her ex best friend asks her out and suddenly starts taking interest in her more than as a friend? Looking back, I should have seen it coming. Paige didn’t like that I went so far away to university. But it was going to only be for two years. She'd join me after she did her two years at community college. I thought we could swing that no problem. We were solid. But she hated the distance. She hated not seeing me every day. She complained that I didn’t come home enough. She hated that for months on end, texting and phone calls were our only form of communication. It wasn’t enough. She'd ask about the girls on campus. She’d gotten it into her head that girls were always making a play for me. I laughed and told her, even if that were true, I’d never cheat on her. She didn't seem completely reassured by that. The bottom line is, Paige thought she was losing me. She wanted me home with her. But I could never imagine the level she'd sink to—the trap she’d set to make that happen.
