During the summer, everyone celebrates the annual Hermaea, a time to honor Hermes the messanger god. This summer would change Hermes as for the first time in his immortal life, he falls for a woman by the name of Peitho, an acrobat in the circus that came into town and an oracle who can predict the soulmates of individuals. The problem? Peitho is a mortal. When Hermes witnesses the owner of the circus harming Peitho, Hermes becomes even more despartate to not only win Peithos heart but also save her life so he goes to make a deal with Hades, who offers him a deal but it has a deadly cost.
