(This story is rated Mature and contains thoughts of suicide. Reader discretion is advised. If you or someone you know is struggling, please don't hesitate to ask help from available sources near you or even online.) Win had an unfortunate past. It was one of the things he tries his best to forget as he faces the present. It was one of the things that he wants to bury in the past. He just hopes to live a normal life - hell, it doesn't even need to be happy, as long as it's normal. He was convinced that he'll never know the true meaning of that word - happiness. He was sure that he wouldn't know what it feels like. He was sure he wouldn't know what it feels like to be free. What it feels like to pursue a passion. What it feels like to be in love. What it feels like to smile... genuinely. Until Bright. In an unusual way, he made Win feel alive. Bright made him breathe. He made him feel free. Happy. Content. His vocabulary opened up for so many new words that only Bright can define. Damn, it was almost surreal. Because just like that, Win finally found a reason to stay alive. But what will happen if he realizes that his very reason to live, is also the one to kill him in the end? Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Anything that resembles real life is purely coincidental.

Win Metawin skyrocketed in the entertainment industry during his first year of university. 15 years later he is a retired actor, model, and singer. Married for ten years with a 7-year-old daughter, he finds himself divorced and a single parent after his wife was caught in a string of public affairs. Heartbroken and trying to put the crumbs of his and his daughter's life back together, he decides to take a break from the cameras and media for the holiday season and takes his daughter to his childhood home that he hasn't set foot in since before he got married ten years prior. Bright Chivaaree left university his first year to take care of his sick mother. With no education he fought to provide for her for six years until she passed away from her illness. The bank seized there home and Bright was living in his car when Lita Iamkajorn found him and brought him home. With Lita's help Bright finished school and rebuilt his life, both of them leaning on each other as replacements for Bright's dead mother and Lita's estranged relationship from her son, Win. At 33 years old Win will come home this holiday season to repair the fences with his relationship with his mother, put the building blocks of his and his daughter's life back together, and unravel past misunderstandings and misconceptions of his old schoolmate Bright, all while trying to keep the holiday cheer turned up for his 7-year-old daughter. Will Win find the life he'd been waiting for all along back home? Or will his walls send him back to the only life he's know for the past 15 years? This is very Hallmark Christmas cheese, but I've never written a holiday fic and I wanted to try it. Story is mine, characters are based off of real people, but this in no way represents real events. It's an alternate universe and doesn't represent them in any way. Furthermore all pictures were taken from IG, Twitter, or Pinterest. They are not mine and credits go to the ones who took or drew the pictures. Thank you!
