This is a short story for a school assignment that I submitted, to which I received the second highest mark in my year level and the year level above me (not trying to brag hahaha). It is a creative response to author Alice Munro's short story, 'Runaway.' I really enjoyed this project and was very much inspired by Munro's beautiful writing style. While I aimed to make the underlying theme of my story easy to grasp, if you would like some more context I strongly recommend reading Munro's narrative 'Runaway.' I hope you enjoy reading my work! :)

Just a short story I wrote and am very proud of, TWs include mental illness, death of family, teen pregnancy (breif mentions), neglect, toxic home life, suicide, depression, self harm, running away, self-loathing, breaking mirrors and the recovery process of mental illness. List of help lines if needed: https://checkpointorg.com/global/ (btw there's so much symbolism it would make my English teacher proud and the writing style is also strange at best, good luck)
