She has to travel to where the humans live, that's where she gets her food. One day, she goes in for the kill like normal, but can't continue. On the way home, she kept asking herself over and over again, "Why couldn't I kill him?" After realizing she has fallen for him, she returns to her hunting spot. I was mid rewrite on this book so at some point the story jumps and shifts gears. Sorry not sorry. I'll adjust eventually. He watches from the shadows as the girl whose magic could make the world stop turning finally decides to light the match and watch the world burn around her.
