I wanted to share an excerpt from my YA novel published earlier this year by Bold Strokes Books. This is the novel that originated from the story "The Trouble with Billy," which I uploaded earlier.

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not. I took in a deep breath before taking his face in both of my hands and swooping down to kiss him. At first, I was so nervous I didn't realize that we were already kissing but after a few moments, I realized how soft his lips felt on my own. Before I can register it I felt him moving against me. She was the most beautiful girl you will ever meet. Kind, sweet, and one of the few people with a higher GPA then him, she was amazing and Aiden imagined that she would be all his. Once Aiden gets rid of her boyfriend, Aaron Tyler. The most annoying guy you will ever meet, Aiden gags just thinking about him. The man is smoking hot and makes Aiden's dreams of getting the girl to seem very impossible. So what would happen if Aiden gets involved with the wrong person? Will Aiden get the girl? Will he fall short? Or will he fall into the arms of a guy who is in love with the girl he loves? _______________________________________ WARNING: First book EVER! Fall in love with a loa who you'll never may see again because of his presence in the crossroads. Then to find out that somehow in a billion years that you were the .001% of male specimens that could carry a child. Now I would say choose carefully but James had no choice in the matter for his story was written long before he was born.Complete

The Gifts of Mortality
The gods have no pity for humans and their impermanence. Why would they care for lives measured in years, when time marches into millennia for them? The immortals stay in their city. The humans remain in their parts of the world. That is until a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death, forcing her to kill their enemies and increase their power. All immortals keep their backs turned on humanity. Except Samil, the God of Festivals and the Arts. Samil knows he isn't very powerful among his kind. Or important. Or confident. Yet, when he learns that the humans are desperate, he chooses to do a deceptively simple thing: Help them. ___________________________________ @Voyageavecmoi was kind enough to write this review of my book and she described it 100x better than I ever could lol. With her permission, I'm posting it below. Also, check out her book "Flight Risk." It's a sweet and deep romance about two characters negotiating their feelings for each other while life is doing everything to tear them apart. The characters have such mature conversations and, there's no reliance on the miscommunication trope at all. I'm *obsessed.* If you enjoy intriguing fantasy novels with deep and thoughtful themes, check out 'The Gifts of Mortality' by @eleanorkennedy14 . It explores the concept of mortality and how it gives life meaning through the eyes of both gods and humans. The story follows Samil, the god of the Festivals and the Arts, who is shocked by the apathy of his fellow gods when a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death. Despite finding no support among his kind, he's determined to help the humans, which sets him down an interesting course. There are lots of great twists in this novel, and I also loved seeing how queerness was worked in throughout both the immortal and mortal realms. Samil is a sweet and refreshing character to root for who is determined to see the good in the world.Complete
The In Between
*WARNING* Mention of suicide Blood/violence Homophobic slur Death. Lots of death. Murder and betrayal ~ "James?" I asked. He dropped his scythe. "No. Nononono. This is a mistake. You're a mistake." "James what the hell? You were dead! What's going on!?" "I am dead, idiot. You're dead too--" "Oh my god, my mom's going to kill me," "Looks like someone already beat her to it," he said. I gaped. "I'm your-- dammit-- your guide." ~ James Abbatiello, a 17 year old committed suicide. It might've been Ricky's fault. At least, a little bit. Then something else unfortunate happened. Ricky also died, getting into a fight with the people who practically killed James. Now, James has to lead Ricky through the In Between to get to The dead world, AKA Tamir, but there are many obstacles they need to face, including birds trying to eat them, wolves and bees, and fighting their own shadows on top of a train. ~ Also I'm writing this with a friend, so it's not just my work. What will happen in Elliot's life when Alexander enters? I know its sounds a cliché Highschool story but I promise it's not , I love BoyxBoy books to read and I thought I should write one, this book has a mature scene and little violent. Hoping one day, the misgendered notions would drop and people see him. Finn was born into wealth. Yet, the one thing he wants is the one thing he can never have. It's the secret he keeps against his family. Being attracted to the same sex is seen as a passing moment or a hankering in one's life. Finn knows that sex in his world is never followed by anything as absurd as love. So he carries on, still he craves and late at night, his desires take over him and he imagines what his life would feel like if he dropped all the pretenses. They could only shatter each other's worlds. ♚ ♚ ♚ Note: This is a short story set before the timeline of "Arsenic."
