Unlike the muggle world where you are judged for being homosexual and such, the wizarding world accepts it. A soulmate is destined and can not be changed so there is no point. Well there is one problem in this system. Dumbledore. The "Kind" and "Grandfather figure" does something he can not get away from. He stole the dark lords (Voldemort) and Severus's child.
