Light Elves are pure, innocent beings, right? Wrong. Or, at least, not in Y/n's case. Much like Loki, she was born to be the Princess of Alfheim, but was cast out to Asgard, where she was taken in by Frigga as her student. Learning to use her magic and that of Frigga's made her incredibly powerful, and she grew close with Frigga's sons, Thor and Loki, Loki especially. As they got older, their feelings grew and they fell in love. Seduced by dark magic and their hatred for their birth parents, they decide to overthrow Earth and rule as King and Queen. Yeah, that didn't work out. But at least they're cell mates! And Thor needs them. Follow their journies thorugh Svartlheim, to Asgard, and to Sakaar.

*This isn't a slow burn! Loki and Y/n are already in an established relationship, but I hope this doesn't deter you!

*This is also the first book of a two book series! Book 2 won't be out until after July 14th because Book 2 follows the Loki series (you'll read why), so I hope that doesn't deter you either!

A tale sought to be as old as time. A story told around a campfire as the children eagerly leaned in, hungry for the next plot. The story of young gods that commanded the winds and tides, that wove your fate and destiny; gods that rode into battle on the backs of mighty steads, axe in hand, and shield in the other. A story of thunder and lightning, and snakes that writhed through tall grass. A story of love. Asgard and Vanaheim. Two sister realms of the World Tree, Yggdrasil. Both realms raged war for centuries over a long forgotten matter. Thousands killed, cities laid to waste. From this war, Freya and Iwaldi, rulers of Vanaheim, strike a truce with the All-Father Odin in attempt to finally bring everlasting peace through the Nine Realms. Sigyn, Princess of Vanaheim, and Thor, Son of Odin, are arranged to marry for the sake of their realms. Neither of them want it. Neither of them love each other. The young God of Mischief, however, brews himself a plan. But, with all the bad luck in the nine realms, Loki falls for the young Princess. Young love blossoms like a flower from its bud. Both families are against it and try everything in their power to keep them apart. It's not an ideal match. The silver-tongued Prince cannot be trusted to keep everlasting peace. Whether it be The Norns, nothing can keep them apart in the end. Until a terrible tragedy bestows them and Loki falls from Asgard. (Based on Norse Mythology.)

{SET BEFORE THE EVENTS OF 'THOR'} - "Did you know," she said, sitting on the ground and turning to the prince, "that Midgard has an entire language dedicated to flowers? Each of them mean something else. It's a very sweet way they can express emotions to each other." Loki laughed quietly. "Midgard can truly be backwards at times, but they are amusing." He nodded to the flower she had just essentially brought back to life. "What does the gardenia symbolize in this language?" "Young love," she answered after a moment of hesitation. "Secret love." Loki felt something flutter in his chest. - Arranged marriages are something out of Shakespeare and ancient history. At least that is the thought of Loki Odinson, but his father clearly has other plans. In a political move aimed to unite Vanaheim and Asgard, Loki is betrothed to the youngest daughter of the royal family of the neighboring realm, Vanaheim. Loki, who doesn't even know if he believes in love at all, finds himself in a very odd position, especially because he's met his betrothed before. A marriage date is set, but both the bride and the groom are less than satisfied. Can love grow out of circumstance?
