The next, I'm sprawled across a marble floor in ancient Rome, pinned beneath the hard, commanding body of Marcus himself-flesh and blood, pulsing with raw power. And good grief, nothing captured the fire in his piercing stare or the way his touch ignites my traitorous body. But the history books lied. Marcus isn't the last Valerius. He has three brothers, each more dangerously captivating than the last-men I now know match those cryptic frescoes. Lucius, the battle-scarred warrior, whose heated grappling in the training yard leaves me breathless. Flavius, the silver-tongued diplomat, whose calculated caresses in shadowed corridors unravel my resolve. And Rufus, the freedman with knowing eyes, whose gentle touch conceals a hunger that sets my heart racing. Trapped in ancient Rome with no way home, I'm ensnared in a web of desire and deceit. I stiffened as his hand slipped down and down further, pushing into my pants. "What are you doing?" I demanded shakily. Max just held onto me from behind, pushing it down until he reached my cliterous. He started stroking. Pleasure swam down below, filling me to my core. I moaned, arching my back. His fingers went down further, slipping inside me. I moaned again, throwing my head forward. He chuckled low, the sound worsening the heat covering me. "You're fucking wet. Look at this." He pulled out his fingers, showing me how they were covered in gloss. I warmed even more at the sight. I dropped my head back to his neck, still moaning. He just nipped my ear. "Are you letting your predator do naughty things with you. Are you a naughty girl, Eve?" I shook my head. I winced, my brows creasing as the warmth of pleasure started boiling. He could clearly tell I was about to come, and he pulled away. I whined in protest, dropping onto the ground when he stepped backward. I then gazed up at him, my breaths hot and heavy. "Eve," his smile was dark, sadistic, "if you want to come, then you have to earn it." "What the fuck you are doing at my party looking like a slut" he yelled angrily while pinning me to the wall. Listening to his words my blood boiled. "Let me guess you came here to ruin my mood by showing your ugly face," he said with an angry smirk letting me know his hate. "Stop giving yourself so much importance. I'm here for your mom. My face may be ugly but ugly souls like you are not even worthy of my life's single second" I said angrily and pushed him away from me but he didn't let me go away. "I can hide my ugly soul beside this face but ugly ducklings like you carry their ugliness which can't even be hidden by beautiful dresses because they stain everything around them with their ugliness" his words were hurting my soul. I won't give him the privilege to see my tears. With all my power I pushed him making him stumble and fall into the pool. "Happy birthday," saying that I tried to walk away with a victory smirk but he didn't let me go. Things he did to me after that still send a shiver down my spine. One thing was clear that day I would never want to see his face again in this life. But I don't know why the hell I am standing in front of him in church wearing a wedding gown. Looking at his victory angry smirk plastered to his face with my glassy eyes.

I turn to look at everyone at the table, and they are all looking at me expectantly. I look back at Nick and he is the only other person standing. "Shall i choose for you?"
