"Hey," I said cautiously, scared to make the first move. Thankfully, I didn't have to make it. Luca stepped forward and took me by the waist, pulling me close to him. He made a possessive noise into the kiss. making my heart fill with affection. I was suddenly jerked from him and a second body wrapped around me possessively. It was Anthony. And he looked pissed. Mavis, a young teenage human girl, lived a life of normalcy with her five best friends. But when these men reveal their true forms and claim her as their mate, she realizes the world is filled with not just humans, but hidden supernaturals. And her five 'best friends' aren't as innocent as she thought. ---------------------- Note: This story was written by me originally a long time ago. I'm so sorry for all of the bad grammar and cringe-worthy scenes. It also goes a bit fast-paced, so I'm sorry about that! He watched as her eyes skimmed over his dark eyes and black hair with barely a reaction. He felt his pride twinge a bit so he went further. Lifting his hands, he let the blood drip from them. Her eyes widened slightly and her chin rose. She looked at his hands then back at him. His dark eyes gleamed in a challenge. "You've not harmed me or mine, faery." She spoke out loud. "Blood does not scare me and neither do you. Keep your dog on its leash." Then she turned and calmly walked back inside. Intrigued now, he went to the window of the house and watched as she reassured her mother that the dog was gone "I'll see you tonight, reckless child." He promised softly. **** Marcus felt himself beginning to wake and struggled to stay in the dream. But it was no use. His eyes opened and he released the pillow his hand was gripping. It was the same one that she had laid her head on every night. His head went into the pillow heavily for a moment, breathing in her faint scent. He hated and treasured dreams like that with equal fervor. He rolled over on his back and stared at the ceiling. It had been decades since she'd been forced to break that promise. He lifted his hand and touched the ring that had been her last gift. It had been decades, but it was yesterday. ***I did not skimp on the steamy scenes so consider yourselves warned ok? There are also a few violent scenes that I'll try to remember to put a warning before so you'll have a heads up. His cold eyes moved from my face to all over my white lace dress with a clenched jaw. I felt weak in my knees but I was successful in keeping my brave face. "Nina is that you? You are looking so beautiful" he said while looking at me. I blushed I was still feeling burning holes in my back I gulp down nervously. "Have some drink?" he said while taking a glass from the waiter. "No she is leaving," said the harsh voice next thing I know champagne was all over my dress staining it and making me gasp. Before I could react he gripped my hand & dragged me near the pool area where no one could see us. I snatched my hand away from his tight grip "Why the hell you ruined my dress" I half yelled. "What the fuck you are doing at my party looking like a slut" he yelled angrily while pinning me to the wall. Listening to his words my blood boiled. "Let me guess you came here to ruin my mood by showing your ugly face," he said with an angry smirk letting me know his hate. "Stop giving yourself so much importance. I'm here for your mom. My face may be ugly but ugly souls like you are not even worthy of my life's single second" I said angrily and pushed him away from me but he didn't let me go away. "I can hide my ugly soul beside this face but ugly ducklings like you carry their ugliness which can't even be hidden by beautiful dresses because they stain everything around them with their ugliness" his words were hurting my soul. I won't give him the privilege to see my tears. With all my power I pushed him making him stumble and fall into the pool. "Happy birthday," saying that I tried to walk away with a victory smirk but he didn't let me go. Things he did to me after that still send a shiver down my spine. One thing was clear that day I would never want to see his face again in this life. But I don't know why the hell I am standing in front of him in church wearing a wedding gown.
