Athena Shepherd, one of the two hidden Shepherds, had always been hidden. She was the youngest Shepherd sibling. She had always been pulled towards neuro, because of her family lines, but trauma had always been her favorite specialty. When she was asked by Tom Koracick to be her neuro fellow, she couldn't help but resist the offer. When her fellowship was over, she was offered by Richard Webber to come to be a trauma attending, a whole new window of opportunities opened up. Get away from her sisters, see her brother, see her boyfriend who just happened to be her brother's best friend. She never expected to get anywhere with Mark, but she never would have known where she'd end up.

Keep in mind, I will skip things, skip big episodes, and will mix certain plots around. (ex. ambulance crash in season 4 is in season 9, Athena's first day.)

Meredith Grey, a surgical resident at Seattle Grace, abhors Derek Shepherd, her attending. In her and her fellow interns' eyes, he was a pompous jackass. Meanwhile, MEG216 a.k.a. Meredith slowly falls for her IM chat mate... little does she know as she plans to meet DASH109, she's met with a familiar face. What starts out as a simple interaction flourishes into something unexpected... Written by: aquariusmind on the topic "Surgical Language" at Tapatalk in 2010.
