"- But mark my words, it's always the ones closest to you who'll be your greatest downfall." George have no choice but to move across the world for seemingly unknown reasons. Forced to attend a new school and George have no doubt that he'll dislike it. However, it seems to turn out better than expected. He finds people that he enjoy spending time with. Especially one in particular. A certain blonde boy. But nothing good ever lasts. His world is once again flipped upside-down when the reason for moving is revealed. He gets pulled into a dangerous world where fighting, car chases and gambling is a part of the daily routine. George gets separated from that special boy in the process. But what happens when faith reunites them once again, but under completely different circumstances this time? (FYI: I do not ship these people IRL and the story will be removed if anyone mentioned expresses discomfort.) When Dream feels his heart rate speed up at the end of George's Livestream, he knows he's too far gone. "This feels so wrong," George says and repeats. Dream clicks off the stream, the sounds of labored breathing filling the room as he tried to stem the panic he was feeling. The next day, after he had just barely dragged himself away from the edge of oblivion and heartache he would never return from, he felt the first tickle at the back of his throat. He coughed roughly, it sounded like he had fluid in his lungs or something. Pneumonia, maybe? George is cancer free after a long battle full of chemotherapy and surgeries at his fourteenth. He starts living his life again, goes back to school and hangs out with his friends and family to appreciate all the small things in life as his leg starts hurting again... Clay is grieving because his mother passed away from lymphoma, a cancer type that's running in his family. With barely anyone around him who can comfort him while grieving, he also needs to deal with his severe anxiety coming from emetophobia, his extreme fear of throwing up. But then the worst thing happens... just as Clay gets diagnosed with blood cancer, George gets diagnosed for the second time with bone cancer. Clay's fear is so big that he doesn't know how to go on and George doesn't know if he can fight this battle a second time... Warnings: -Cancer (bone cancer (relapse)/blood cancer) -Suicidal thoughts/suicide attempt (short) -Bullying (only once in the end) -Throwing up (skippable) -Chemotherapy -Amputation ⚠️ Clay has emetophobia in this story and for all the people with this same phobia, I added a trigger for mentions/talk about throwing up/nausea, a trigger for nausea and one for throwing up. He laughs it off in the moment but starts to watch what he eats and work out more. Eventually he eats less and less and tries to convince himself and others he's just not hungry or he's on a diet. But it all goes downhill from there. Disclaimer! This is just a fanfiction! Clay was born too early which makes him struggle a lot. His daily battle with multiple disabilities doesn't make his life easy and after also being bullied, even by his own brother, he shuts down around almost everyone and develops selective mutism. George who struggles with ADHD and a mood disorder suddenly receives notes in his locker each day from an unknown person. The notes cheer him up each time and at the same time he starts becoming closer to the quiet and shy Clay. When George also becomes friends with Clay's brother, he has to choose between either him, who hates Clay, or choose for the sweet Clay. But does he fall for the manipulative behaviour of Clay's brother or does he stay loyal to Clay?
