Naruto isn't sure why or how but for some unknown reason he's always been able to know what a person's true intentions were just by focusing on them hard enough. or more specifically their Aura.

the reflection of their souls which allows a person's true intentions to be seen. he first discovered this ability when he was being chased by an angry mob of villagers as the adrenaline rush caused him to see a glowing orb of red and black. this was when he realized something about him was different.

something that went beyond the explanation of a dojutsu like the byakugan or sharingan eyes.
naruto will soon find out that his ability to see souls.
deals with a much MUCH higher power.

as lord death of the DWMA gets word of this he sends his best meister professor stein to retrieve Naruto and take him to death city where he will learn the truth of who and what he really is.
