A DNF coffee shop AU. Clay works in a coffee shop and ever since meeting George he has called him the wrong name, just to see him smile. One day, Clay see's him smile, in a way he has never seen before. A perfect dewdrop smile. He then realizes he's determined to see it again. As George comes for his daily coffee the two become closer, and with each joke, Clay reaches for a smile he might never see again. But learns along the way, he will find so much more.

His daily battle with multiple disabilities doesn't make his life easy and after also being bullied, even by his own brother, he shuts down around almost everyone and develops selective mutism. George who struggles with ADHD and a mood disorder suddenly receives notes in his locker each day from an unknown person. The notes cheer him up each time and at the same time he starts becoming closer to the quiet and shy Clay. When George also becomes friends with Clay's brother, he has to choose between either him, who hates Clay, or choose for the sweet Clay. But does he fall for the manipulative behaviour of Clay's brother or does he stay loyal to Clay?
