He was blinded as a kid in a fatal accident, but in one blink of an eye quite literally it all disappeared, the girl he admired, his mother, and his sight.
There is one thing he did gain, superpowers..
Well, not exactly but his senses were heightened, and he used that to his advantage to help out his small town.
Until years later the girl he was so infatuated with returns and so do his feelings for her.
But the real problem is she never heard about his accident and he doesn't necessarily want to tell her.
But how long can he keep his secrets?

Aaron felt that rain clouds surrounded him and he was perfectly comfortable with that, he didn't like people- end of story. WARNING: in this story you are depressed and have social anxiety. it sucks in reality (ik from experience) but I have some ideas on how to use these to a romantic fan girl advantage. ;). in this story you don't have any powers (sorry) but you are really strong and independent. you also have a pair of twin katanas that you carry around with you everywhere. your parent shipped you away for the summer. a town is visible from the small plane window. surrounded by a forested area it seemed pretty secluded. it might not be such a crappy summer vacation after all. I was really glad when I managed to get my katanas trough airport security too. I might have some time to practice. the weird sensation of someone following you snapped you back to reality. when you saw that no on was behind you calmed down and went back to planning how to not make the summer suck but for the rest of the day, you knew, someone was definitely following you.

This story takes place in Gotham City, and therefore within the universe of DC (Detective Comics), making it technically a fan-fiction. I strongly believe the world of superhero fiction could use some diversity and that is exactly what I hope to gift you all with this novel! Furthermore, I have absolutely no professional experience as a paramedic or EMT, so I did as much research as I could to try and have a realistic portrayal of this career, but of course it is not perfect.
