This novel is very angst that contains moments of physical abuse and mental trauma of a young girl. Also contains mentions of rape. Readers be warned.
Set yourself in the shoes of the young 12 year old girl called Lucy. Be prepared for her tragic story that follows her everywhere she goes. Her life has been filled with pain and suffering from her abusive parents that gotten far out of hand. In this novel you will take a journey on her days leading up to her birthday and plan to escape her hell of a home to hopefully find anywhere better then her hometown in a northern state.
Algea were the personified spirits (daimones) of pain and suffering of the body and mind, grief, sorrow and distress. They were the bringers of weeping and tears. The Algea were related to Oizys, the milder spirit of misery and sadness, and Penthos, the god of mourning and lamentation.
Kemonomimi (獣耳, けものみみ or ケモノミミ, lit. beast ears) describes humanoid characters that possess animal-like features.
