"It's cold," I whisper and he pulls me closer into his chest. His warmth radiates from his body to mine and his arms that are wrapped around me make me feel safe.
"I know," he says. We stand there in silence, but not an awkward one. It's was comfortable, and to be honest, the best thing that I had felt ever since the beginning of this.
Suddenly I feel his arms sliding out from around me, coldness immediately taking it's place. Before I could ask what he was doing he had already stepped away from me. His hands lightly grip my fingertips as he stares into my eyes.
"Let's dance," he says.
"Dance?" I ask, confused. He smiles and nods his head, making my heart melt.

Lila loves winter. It's her favorite season out of them all. She loves the snow and even the chilly days. But what happens when she goes to school one day and can't come home because of it. A blizzard hits Harensville, her hometown, stranding her outside with nowhere to go. There's no heat, no food, and she doesn't have the proper clothing to be outside.
Thankfully though, she's not the only person. Braden Markey, stud basketball player and track runner, is also stuck, and is happy to see that he isn't alone. Lila knows that staying with him is their best bet to make it through, but can she really trust him? An unlikely duo against the cold, vast world. So what will she do? What happens when two total different people have to trust each other?
