War is looming over the peaceful kingdom of Aglaia. Their neighbor, the giant kingdom of Neasa, the kingdom with the biggest army and the best soldiers in the whole world is about to wage war, hungry for more land. Princess Arwen Hawthorn of Aglaia, in desperate attempt to preserve as much of her kingdom as she can, is headed for Neasa to marry it's violent future ruler, Prince Edwin Dalton. On her way, however, she runs into the mysterious Maeve Payne, the famous Raven Witch. Maeve gives Arwen hope that maybe she doesn't have to marry Edwin. Together the princess of Aglaia and the Raven Witch lead a war that neither of them knows how to fight. Trusting the Witch is essential for their victory, and Arwen really wants to trust Maeve, but the Witch has one too many secrets and the princess, a fragile heart.
