I've been running for hours now, or at least I thought.  Everything around me looks the same no matter what direction I take. The way the trees lean and cast an eerie shadow on the stark white snow, make my fear only intensify. My legs burn and my fingers frozen. My chest aches, as I draw short, frantic breaths each step I take. 

My adrenaline taking over, I run through the trees not wasting anytime looking back to see if he's right behind me. The pounding of my chest can be heard in my ears. I don't know where I am or where I'm going, but what I do know is that I need to get as far away from him as possible.All Rights Reserved

I heard the the snow crunching under foot as I ran as fast as my legs would take me through the forest. The air whipped through my hair as I ran, creating a ribbon like flow behind me. I dipped and dodged around trees, careful not to trip or run into anything. Just a little further, I thought to myself. Cold, dark and empty. I still had hope that they were just hiding and that this was all just a bad dream, but after a moment or two of listening to the trees creaking, I sighed. I was alone.
