Kaya and Lennie were born three days apart in 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri. They were raised like siblings and grew into best friends. Kaya never got to meet her real father; Lennie never got to meet his real mother. They raised each other more than their parents ever did. 

Kaya and Lennie will always need each other, but they will never be alike. Kaya has goals she knows she cannot achieve. Lennie is the polar opposite; whatever he wants, he gets. 

Everything changes on April 13, 1956.

A date that Kaya will never forget.
