THE REBIRTH OF FLAME
War is a plague unlike any other. There is no cure, no way to put a definitive end to it. It is an immortal illness Nampritt has been cursed with.
As enemy armies draw closer to the borders of Nampritt, the gifted persons called Anvre are being put on the front lines to use their powers. Some Anvre volunteer as soldiers, seeing this as an opportunity to fight for the country that protects them. Others see it as a disgrace - an Anvre's power is sacred, not meant to only be used with the intent to kill or injury.
Phenya Sarkrofska is the daughter to the most nefarious traitor of Nampritt. She has endured threats and insults for months because of what her now dead father did. In hopes to prove herself as a loyal Anvre of Nampritt, she joins the military to help finish the war her father started.
Being in the army leads to secrets of Nampritt being unearthed, but it also uncovers a side of Phenya she did not know anything of. Once secrets are spoken, there is no hiding them, and there is no keeping them from your enemies.
Being a legendary creature of extraordinary power can be a blessing, but for Phenya, it will be a curse.
