A little sequel short story to Ultramarine. Set in seven months after most of the events of Ultramarine, bar the Epilogue. Please read that story before you read this one!
Essentially, this is the first Christmas Sheena and Cole spend together, all in Sheena's POV.
A lot of fluff because it's good for my mental health, but it's also mostly about healing, about recovery, and finding peace.

Inspired by the movie Happiest Season, and its theme song, Think of Christmas.
Each chapter will be accompanied by a song, but the song may not necessary go with the entire chapter, so don't feel obligated to listen to that exact song while reading any given chapter. The song will be linked in the comment to the first paragraph of each chapter.

Some of the book characters would show up mostly in later parts of the story (except for one, who showed up as soon as the first chapter), and the story itself is tightly knitted to the events in The Darkest Minds book series, so one do need to read them in order to enjoy this. Also, even though I tried my best to not contradict the canon, there are still some fundamental elements in this story that has to go against the grain. (i.e. Cole's death) You might notice that the chapter titles are all Beatles songs, but I actually didn't put them there as a playlist; in other words, you don't have to listen to the title song while reading the chapter. The Thomas's are a very well-off family with four boys. Their house is usually the main hangout for the boys and their friends. Kate hasn't ever lived with siblings before, let alone this many boys, so it's a big change for her. Daniel is your typical high school football player; he's got the looks, the muscles, talent, and even the overbearing dad who wants him to go pro. Daniel, however, really couldn't care less about a career in football, he loves the game, but it's his dad's dream for him to go pro, not his own. At least not anymore. He spends most of his free time away from his house and hanging out at either the Thomas or the Copperfield house. He can't wait to go off to college with his friends and get away from his dad and the stupid little town he grew up in. How will things change for them over the next year? This will be a series of 4, but the other books will be spin-offs and can be read as stand-alone books. They will, however, be published in chronological order. Full warning, this book is much shorter than I intend on making the spin-offs. I was planning on writing book two as the first in the series but found myself needing more of a prequel to all three other books, and so I chose to write something from their high school years. Bonus points for giving Daniel a love interest that was more than just a name.
