Puffy had given him a little information when they spoke. He had gleaned a little more from the files she had sent him that he had only had a little time to flick through before she asked him to drive over.

He knew that Ranboo was ten years old. He had been in the system since he was a baby, he had been through a number of foster homes already - Techno didn't know the reason why he never stayed but he didn't need to. This was temporary and besides, Techno had heard this story before. He was familiar with the system. A different country, but there wasn't much of a difference.

But the reason that Techno was here was because Puffy needed help. The kid needed a place to spend a few days, until she could sort out another foster home. It was short notice and she didn't have anyone else to turn to.

So she had called him, called in that favour, and now he was sitting here, only a few metres away from a kid that he was supposed to look after.

Tommy had just recently moved homes. The one he left was one full of memories. Not good ones, but not necessarily bad ones, either. He didn't have much to live for at his old home, so he moved in hope of starting over and meeting new people. He had no more family, and his school friends had long moved on from him. In fact, the only number in his contacts was his mum's who was long passed away. Tommy was young (sixteen, to be exact) and he often forgot things. Usually just as simple as forgetting to do the laundry, or forgetting to reply to a notification on his phone that he received three seconds prior. Simple things that didn't matter. This time, though, he forgot to charge his phone before leaving his new, barely furnished apartment. He didn't think much of it. If it died, it died. No biggie, right? OR A fluff to angst to fluff adoption AU where Wilbur Soot gets adopted into the SBI household just before his 18th birthday after years in the foster system. Now, he must learn how to trust his newfound family and find that it's okay to be dependent on others. But after so many years of only relying on only himself, Wilbur struggles to do that. After all, can a story ever be that simple? Trigger warnings are at the top of each chapter. There aren't many but check them out anyway.
