A hard-working widow, Charlotte Wormwood, lost her daughter in a tragic accident. 20 years later, she stumbles across a homeless girl who appeared to have the same birthmarks as her deceased daughter! She appeared to have knowledge of her daughter's past life!
Charlotte tries to solve the mystery of her daughter's death and the peculiar girl. She gets trapped in a morbid time machine which travels her to 1945, the year on her daughter's death, to try to save her from the events.
Could this all be a coincidence or just some weird hoax?

Everyone has there own secrets. Some are dark and morbid, even when everyone in your town talks about it. You swore to secrecy that they wouldn't tattle, but you sometimes can't trust them, even if something goes terribly wrong that the truth has to be uncovered....
Warning: contains violence in some scenes. I have no interest or intention in actually killing someone or something. This is just a book I like to write and criminal minds in the '40s-'60s got me thinking of writing my very first book (which is this one). Also, some sensitive topics include religion, so viewer discretion is advised.

I came up with the name Charlotte back in 2015 because I needed a sweet and elegant name for my protagonist, only later did the novels come out and with them the protagonist Charlotte. I must stress that the Charlotte in this story is my character and is (probably) completely different from the Charlotte from the FNaF novels. I haven't read the novels yet, but am planning to. It happened in the 60's, it happens now. But I understand how reading it can be distressing. Also, sorry for any glaring grammatical errors, repetitious phrases or mistakes. Ava finds herself stuck in 1944, with "strange" technology called a cell phone, no way of charging it, and no way of getting home. In the midst of a gruesome and horrifying war, she finds herself questioning more than just sanity of the time period, but even her own.
