Set 15 or 20 years after the end of Voltron: Legendary Defender, this story follows what happens when the lions return to Earth and choose new Paladins to fight an unknown threat to the Universe. First-person from the POV of Karah, the new Black Paladin. 

Content warning for graphic creepy monster descriptions, violence, and a bit of cursing.

6 years ago, Lance was kidnapped without a clue to where he went. Team Voltron searched far and wide, with not even a smidge of luck. They still have a bit of hope, but after 6 years that hope is dwindling. The blue lion has a new paladin, and the team is moving on. 5 years in the slave trades changed Lance, physically and mentally. He is a new person, no longer the goofy blue paladin he once was. He is now the leader of a year-old group of do-gooder assassins who take down the people who once "owned" them. Their identities hidden, they are known only as the "Deathhawks", and Lance known as "Pike". When Voltron hears about the Deathhawks, they want to meet up and ask them to join the Voltron Coalition.
