petrichor, "the earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil".

Kiara Black can't wait to graduate and leave her hometown in the past. Her relationship with her brother is on the rocks, her father seems to be involved in some business with a local gang leader and to make matters worse, she's starting at Forks High after being expelled from the school on the res. One year, Kiara tells herself, one year until she can get her life back.

Rosalie Hale can't wait to leave Forks and move on to their next home. Out of all the places she's lived, this might always be one of her least favourites. The school was always filled with gossiping teenagers and the presence of the Quileute wolf pack simply irritated her more.
