Something has gone awry in London.

People of both the normal and the supernatural, or Midnighter world, start disappearing in the night, vanishing without a trace.

Rumors of a new race of beings made of both heavenly and demonic blood are spreading throughout the Midnighter World, though little is known of where they came from- or how dangerous they might be.

A young Divinari, or someone with divine blood, has once again made his appearance in search of a new bride, years after becoming a recluse in the wake of his first one's death.

As more dangers come out from the woodworks, Soleil Beaublanc, a young girl living in the shadows of the Midnighter world, finds herself dragged directly into the mess, unveiling mysteries they never dreamed of being possible. But all is not entirely lost- as she works to protect herself, she makes new allies along the ways, ones that offer hope in an increasingly dire situation. From demonic cults to deadly automatons, she and her companions need to find a way to survive not just these strange oddities, but also their own normal lives!
