"Juliette. Human. Child." The voice echoed. "What shall I grant you? Eternity or death?"
She bares her teeth at the darkness. "Isn't it the same?" She says. It laughs.
"I will be you and every part of you is me." A promise. "Not Human. Not Fae."
Juliette's hands reach into the darkness and watches in awe as her fingertips turn to gold. Then her hands. Her arms, her chest. Her neck.
She screams when the gold starts dripping.

While there she gets swept up in the court's political scheming, with Eris trying to win her favor using any means necessary. But all is not what it seems and her visit is cut short by a bloody betrayal. Now, alone and afraid she must escape Autumn and get back home. - Perhaps she'd misjudged him and he was actually going to slice her open. Vel decided she wasn't going to stick around to find out. When Feyre, Cursebreaker, manages the trials and frees everyone, Marlie somehow finds herself winnowed into Velaris, Rhysands other Court. There, she raises the attention of the High Lord and the inner circle for entering through the warding. Especially Azriel's attention.
