15 year old Jack Chambers is dealing with PTSD from a incident that occurred a couple of years prior. His PTSD affects him so greatly that he often misses opportunities to make friends and step outside of his comfort zone. Jack's PTSD doesn't just affect him though, it also affects the people in his life. As he begins to make progress and step out of his shell, he learns the secrets of those he cares about and begins to see that he is not the only one struggling with something. Everyone struggles and everyone is a little broken. Told in the perspective of multiple characters, this story is a coming-of-age story that focuses on personal relationships, growth, and mental health.
