Alton, a young man just 3 years out of Culinary School, starts working at Alonzo's De'Lic, one of the top tier restaurants in Philadelphia. Having to hear the mouth of the head chef 6 days out of the week, already knowing the guy had it out for him since he walked through those restaurant doors, Alton tries to do all he can to prove, he too could someday be a head chef. Even if that meant leaving no room for a social life, or any other life outside of the restaurant business. Elizabeth, a young librarian who has had a taste for a good story, and great quality food since she could remember. Working just a walk across the street from Alonzo's De'Lic, she couldn't see herself having lunch elsewhere. Having already had every item on the menu for the 3 years she has been going there, she always made sure she tried something different the next day. A incident will bring these two individuals together in a way that they would have never expected. Having always been on opposite sides of the restaurant kitchen door, what would be the cause of them doors opening, and the two catching their very first glance at one another?
