This is my first Azur lane story so please bear with me if I make any errors or sentences that don't make sense. I do not know a lot of the Azur lane lore so I could get some information wrong because I only play the game. I am not writing to the original but as a fan story so the plot will heavily differ from the Azur lane main lore. I may include some original parts along the way just to keep it relevant at least. Azur lane x Male Reader.
Azur Lane is a navy port constructed on an island by humans somewhere in the middle of the pacific ocean. It was the final attempt to drive out the invading otherworldly beings known as Sirens. The island inhabitants are beings called ship girls created by merging otherworldly resources such as wisdom cubes with ww1 to ww2 warships into human like beings. They achieved great success in driving out most Sirens from Earth so the human higher ups decided to send human commanders to lead Azur Lane.
The first few commanders were successful at doing this job. However, as years passed by the quality of human commanders' leadership and Azur lane had declined. Especially, one male commander did terrible things to several ship girls that he was fired after being assigned for just 3 months.
1 year later, the human higher ups decided to send another human commander to lead Azur lane once more. Will this new commander be able to save Azur lane and make it great again or will it be the other way around? We'll find out more in this story.

The Azur Lane Alliance, a powerful force created in the first world war and expanded upon with the intentions of fighting the Sirens as one, while at the same time preventing another large-scale war like the great war from coming about again, via gathering all the major powers under one flag. Ships of the Sakura Empire struck Eagle Union ships by surprised not long ago, and this action dragged the Eagle Union into the conflict without giving them a choice to ignore or try and stay out of the out-of-control flames, we call war. Meanwhile, the Iron Blood slipped into Royal navy-controlled waters, and a scuffle between the two countries flag ships was set into motion, that ultimately ended with the Royal Navys Flag Ship HMS Hood sent to the bottom of the sea. News of her death would send shockwaves across the WORLD! That would be FELT across the lands, oceans and mountains by all.

War... it never changes, does it? I stand here, trapped in this endless cycle, questioning my true identity. Why are they pursuing me relentlessly? Who are the Sirens? Where do they come from? Who created them? What is their purpose? Why am I alone while others falter? I have this power within me, yet it feels like a burden when I can't save anyone. How many timelines will I have to travel through? The weight of their lost futures hangs heavily on my heart. I refuse to give in to despair. I will change their fate. Amid the raging storm, I will stand ready to face the chaos. I will become the light that pierces the darkness, the force that pushes back against the tide of despair. You were sure that you had simply gone to bed as per usual and yet here you are, far from home, met with the sight of a calm, serene sea. In the bay, warships and carriers dock and refuel, planes rumble overhead as they aim for a landing at the airstrip on the far side of the island, and, further inland, a town bustles with life. Just where were you? "Commander," someone calls from behind, "are you done admiring the port? Please get ready swiftly, or you will be late to the daily briefing!" You are in a war consuming the world, perpetuated by an enemy shrouded in obscurity. The war is easy, in the beginning. It is almost like a game. There is good and evil. Us versus them. All you have to do is give the orders and watch your sailors take care of the rest. War, however, is never so simple, never so easy. Every horrific event one witnesses... every dance with Death one manages to step away from claws itself into the mind, creating thoughts that make the moments between thundering cannon-fire and wailing dive bombers all the more frightful. Moments like these are the worst part of the fighting. Any man's courage will break under the glaring black eyes of enemy cannons ready to let loose a few thousand pounds of compact death unto them. All the while, the slab of metal that will pound you into fleshy nothing may have already begun its course.... P.S. The story will mostly be sticking to SR and UR ships with the exception of some other ones. There are simply too many to include so it needs to be limited in some sort of fashion. I should also mention that not every girl who appears in the story will be a part of the harem. Some are there to give the setting more life, if that makes sense. Another thing: it will be in first person. That is simply my preference when it comes to writing as I enjoy working with the limited first person POV

Humanity had a dream to Explore and conquer the oceans , But that all changed when an unknown enemy appeared known as the "Sirens" humans were pushed out of the Seas by the Sirens advanced weaponry and humanity began to descend into a Dark age. Siren attacks had become frequent enough that humans were on the Brink of annihilation. However one Day humanity found a way to fight back against the other worldly threats, using mysterious objects known as wisdom cubes, the K.A.N.S.E.N. were created from said cubes. With the power of Warships embedded into their bodies, they allowed humanity to fight Back against the Sirens and begin to reclaim what was once lost. But divisions in beliefs on how to deal with the Sirens, threaten to obscure the original threat they came together to fight and turn humanity and its protectors against each other, either caused by Siren influence or the actions and beliefs of major nations leaders, or a little bit of both, one thing is for certain. No matter when or where it happens.... War, War never changes. However sometimes all it takes is a small change somewhere, a Flap of the wings of a butterfly, an Action taken, or an Action not taken. The Smallest changes can Alter how history will play out. The Bigger question I would like to Ask... What will be the catalyst that starts the winds of Change THIS time? Ever since that fateful day, when the long bloody war between the Sirens and Azur Lane ended, with Azur Lane being the victor. The Sirens remained quiet for many decades. Until recently, we learned that they achieved something no one thought was possible. They created a timeline teleportation device. Commonly known as a "time jumper". A device that allows the impossible to become possible, time travel. We believe they intend to go back in time to the middle of the war they lost, taking advanced tech along with them, to change the future of humanity in their favor. So we at Eagle Union have been working hard to counter this new issue. After working relentlessly, struggling to create a piece of technology many generations ahead of our current time. We have finally created our own time jumper, capable of simultaneously sending multiple warships back in time. We will be sending one carrier, one cruiser, and three destroyers to complete this sensitive task. The task of preventing the Sirens from erasing the existence of humanity.
