A girl was named Ella, and her friend, Phoebe. Since the girls lived next door, they had wonderful times together. Both girls were inseparable, until Ella's father died, and Lady Tremaine took over the once cheerful household. 

Phoebe's family had to watch Ella be mistreated by the vain woman from afar, oh how they wished Ella would get her happily ever after.

Until the ball came along and changed the story.
