Growing up in a family with strange beliefs, Lorienne Evergreen had been groomed to hate the villains in every book since she was young. She knew that the extreme abhorrent of the Evergreens didn't stem from petty reasons, but from the history of the creation of literature, or perhaps from the myth dressed up with facts. Lorienne believed the latter, though. As she navigated the ancient Library of Evergreen, she ended up questioning her family's teaching and, later on, violated their Golden Rule.

When a heartbreaking tragedy occurred after Lorienne received a peculiar vision and a golden tattoo, she knew her life would never be the same. Indeed, she was right. The prophecy she had neglected turned out to be the chain she couldn't escape now, for the deadliest curse was unleashed. To save the reality from the darkness of fiction, she must enter the Realms of the Villains. Armoured with her Golden Pen, Lorienne must find the unfinished novels of the darkest sorceress and write the death of the Major Villains in its ending. For a girl who believed no one was born as a natural evil, this task would not only break her principle, but also her heart.

Through the darkness, the computer screen illuminated the pale skin of Adelae's face around the black mask. Scrolling through the submitted questions, she came across one that made her smile. "Dear Lady Shade," She read aloud to herself. "Why did you choose to be a villain instead of a hero?" She chuckled, shaking her head at the simple, loaded question, before selecting it and opening the page to write a reply. "Hello Blogger KittyStan41. I bet you're expecting the classic tragic backstory in response to this question." she typed. " Dead parents, treated like trash as a kid, and it all came to a choice between rising to defeat my inner demons or succumbing to them. Well, my real answer is possibly something you haven't considered about the world of Heroes and Villains. Answer this for me, what is the goal of a hero? To make the world a better place, perhaps? No, dear KittyStan41. The classic goals of the Hero might seem epic and noble, but in the end it all comes down to stopping the Villain. What kind of life is that, when your only goals derive from the actions of someone else? Your whole life is used up as a preventative measure. Now does that sound like a good way to live? "I chose to be a villain not because I enjoy hurting people, but because I have goals that I plan to achieve. Don't bother asking what they are. If I told you, everyone would know, and people (baby heroes) would get in the way. Then how would I achieve them? I aspire to more. Is there need for a better reason?"

A first-born daughter with a golden eye and a second-born son. The realm feared what the daughter would be capable of. None knew of her power or what she would do in the future if she became queen, so the throne was given to the second son in hopes he would save their house from possible ruin. Over the course of her life, she was neglected by her mother for being different like the "demons of the west." She began to harden as the years passed her by and the abuse she endured intensified until one day, she snapped, killing someone. The queen sends her away in order to keep the nobles at bay but little did she know that her decision to do so would cause the fall of everything she held dear. The fall of Vequera.
