They couldn't be more thankful and everything's like a quaterpace: A platform of a staircase where the stair turns at a right angle only. That's until the opposite occurs: the halfpace. It is a landing, certainly, but not just any landing. It refers to that small landing at the top of a flight of stairs where you have to turn and take another flight of stairs whether going up or down. It differs from quaterpace in that it crosses the ends of both flights, so that the direction of the stairs is completely changed. So what if the different direction brings 6 people together?
