    Ava Branning didn't think she was doing anything particularly wrong by swimming in a dirty park river at four o'clock in the morning.
    
    The nine year old just wanted a bath. She didn't care what temperature the freezing water actually was.
    
    But when a man proclaiming himself to be 'Officer Styles' runs up and starts shouting at her when he's on his nightly patrol and his work experience partner, 'Mr Horan', wants to get her back to her parents as quickly as possible before she catches her death, all hell breaks lose for the little girl.
    
    Because how can somebody travel to a place called home if they've never had one?
    
    And how, how was she supposed to know that her parents were the ones who didn't want her home in the first place?
