Nessa has reinvented herself over and over again in order to survive. She was able to escape the man that swore to love her and did nothing but hurt her. Her fear will fuel her to keep going. Her heartache will remind her that love is not enough, it's never enough. She will fight to the end because surviving was not living. She would either get her life back or she would die trying.

Two guarded souls who recognize the ache in each other, trying not to fall too hard but drawn together anyway. Their love simmers beneath the surface-fierce, quiet, and complicated.
