The half-elf Aspen and his best friend Sekafi, a hyena humanoid, are out to map a new area of forest when they find something that will change their lives in drastic and unexpected ways. This is a high fantasy adventure/horror story. Enjoy!

I have not revisited this story in years and will likely have to do some major edits/rewrites before I write a sequel. I am sorry to inform it will probably be some more years before I have the time/energy. For now, consider this a fragment of a fuller universe.
