-A/N, this is in an alternate universe where Rhea/Demi is not famous- Imagine being the only chubby girl at the gym? This was the type of embarrassment I had to deal with every time I went to workout. I would try to hide my face behind my baggy hoodie, hoping that nobody would notice me. But of course, they did, I wasn't hard to miss. The snickers and whispers were impossible to ignore. It was like they were all laughing at me, like I was some sort of joke. But I was there for the same reason, to become a better version of myself. All the jokes and laughter dropped my motivation to an all-time low. I was already feeling so self-conscious about my body, and now I had to deal with this? I wanted to give up, to just go home and hide under my covers. But then, I saw her. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. She was confident, strong, and unapologetically herself. She didn't let anyone's comments bother her. In fact, she seemed to take pleasure in her own success. Her hair jet black, perfectly tied back, tight t-shirt revealing just enough muscle for me to know she was serious about her workouts. She moved with such ease and grace, as if she'd been born to be there. It was almost as if she was dancing to some invisible beat. I couldn't help but watch her. Seeing her smile and laugh with her friends made me realize that maybe I was wrong about this place. Maybe there was a way to fit in, to find my own sense of belonging. My name is Kayla, and this is my experience of "Love at first sight."
