Mara was taken from her planet and her love by the Syndicate. She doesn't remember anything of her past, the generals tell her it doesn't matter. She's the best soldier the Syndicate has in the fight against the Rebellion, but one day a rebel soldier recognizes her on the battlefield.
Mara's confused, how could a rebel soldier know her? Before she can ask her, a piece of debris flies at the soldier, it's turned to dust by an energy blast.
