Link is a hero. He always has been, and he always will be. It's a hard business, a hard life, but he refuses to give up. The lives of everyone he cares for lies on his shoulders.
A new threat to Hyrule has come, in the form of a beautiful woman, once Kokiri, turned dark by Ganondorf's magic. It's up to Link and a ragtag band of fighters, mages and healer to stop him: Rin, a young sheikah girl who wants nothing more than to prove her worth, Blair, a Gerudo mage with a dark past and an even darker present, Rhea, Blair's girlfriend, who can see the future, and is afraid of what she sees.
The darkness can't be fought off. It surrounds your being. It is part of you.
You are the darkness.

Link being sent back in time didn't save Hyrule. Ganondorf is still refusing to give up his attempts to take over Hyrule and Link is tasked with finding a powerful magician to stop Ganondorf's advances. However, they're too late, and darkness sweeps over the land once again. Link and this magician must now save Hyrule and bring it back to the light by repeating what he had done before; cleanse all the sacred temples and put to rest the spirits of the six sages who guard them. Yet, Link can't help but feel that this magician is familiar to him; and, oddly alluring. But does the legendary hero have time to stop and think on his feelings for this tempting magician? Or will submitting to his feelings cause the land to be soaked in its hero's blood? ~~~~ Watty's 2020 FanFiction winner! *Highest Ranking*: #1 in ghiralink - 2021/01/02 #1 in Ocarina - 2022/01/10 ~~~~ [WARNING] This book is still not immaculately edited. While it has been through some rounds of personal editing, there still may be spelling/grammar issues, flow oddities, etc. I plan to edit it more but other life responsibilities unfortunately place this lower on my to-do list. But I will get there eventually! ~~~~ [!DISCLAIMER!] I do not own 'The Legend of Zelda'. All rights go to Nintendo and the respective creators of this game franchise. "I suppose heroes don't get rest, do they? Apparently, heroines don't either," I thought to myself, trying to ease my nerves and aching arm. With a twist of fate, Zelda finds herself rescuing Link from The Surface instead of being rescued herself. Training in secret as the knight Adlez, she is not the fragile female that her people like to believe. She must aid Link and, in so doing, finds a dark secret that will change the course of Hyrule history itself. Attribution: Cover by Edli Akolli on DeviantArt
