A Girl Crush

4 parts Complete Mature

I wasn't planning on developing feelings for anyone. In a stale marriage, I had come to a place of acceptance that I wouldn't become excited by the idea of having a partner ever again. Upon meeting Alex, it doesn't take long for me to realize that my body is wasting no time in betraying me. Making my heart pound harder than it needs to and producing endless thoughts of a woman I will never be with. Alex is married to a man, and can never understand the privilege she holds or the world I come from. Stuck in a marriage that is not much more than a fragment of memories, I do not need a reminder of what I am missing out on. I should forget what I want, because my mind does not get to decide this adventure.
