The day I got the call, my life got turned upside down. You prepare yourself for all kinds of hurt in this world, but this is the kind you can't prepare yourself for. No matter how many times you may hear it on the news or may see police cars pulling people over for no reason, you will never get used to the ugly truth. We live in a system rigged against us, and the people that are supposed to protect us are the ones that can also turn things upside down for us in a heartbeat.

Police brutality is very real, and not matter how perfect life may seem, a single moment, just one mistake, one misstep, can turn the world all bad. And now Mar is left picking up the pieces of her life, trying to figure out why the world is all bad, and why getting justice for the ones you love seem so impossible in America.

His mother's a chef at a restaurant, which his family owns, his sister goes to the college where his dad's the head dean, and him and his younger twin siblings have amazing grades in school. What'll happen when Emalisa un expectantly falls on Jaxon? He becomes undeniably interested with and in her. Emalisa feels a connection too, but is scared to react on it. The fact that their friends undeniably are head over heels for another doesn't help their situation and provides endless things to tease one another about. So please do read.
