Esmeray is what some people consider to be a thief or a heathen. Callum is not your ordinary king. Neither of them consider themselves to be good but they wouldn't go as far as to say they are evil.

Esmeray hates her title of being Empress, its overbearing and tiring. She feels more comfortable as a captain or among her crew. Callum hates his role as a king so as often as he can he runs away from his troubles. Until his troubles come to him.
