Hailey only heard stories about her father, and he died when she was still in her mother's stomach. She wishes she could know more about him like his favorite place to go and scenery to see. Little Hailey loves to runs off into the woods after dark until she ran into a stranger like no other. He tries to kill her, but when he looked into poor Hailey's eyes, his thoughts of killing her drifted. There was something in her eyes that confused him. He realized those are the eyes of a true killer. Hailey is not just a human but a prophecy.
