Violet is the princess of Auros, a kingdom in France. She is tired of the rules, entitlement, and press. She just wants to go on adventures, but of course, the rules. Her butler (and close friend) apparently has a son, Dean, about Violets age. He comes to stay at the castle to study zoology. Will she be able to resist the urge to escape into the wild with him or will she screw up her dreams and become Queen of Auros?
